Christian Science teaches that obedience is an established fact in the realm of Spirit. Mind and its idea are one. They are inseparable. Because God made man, man exists only as the expression of God. In reality God's will is man's will. All that constitutes man is derived solely from God, his source.
It is natural for man to obey the voice of God. But the human mind is often disobedient. It is frequently too involved in its own purposes, plans, and affairs to hear God's voice. Yet as the human mind becomes instructed in the truth of being through Christian Science, it learns to be obedient to the voice of wisdom. What we obey shows us in what direction we are traveling.
