A CORRECT VIEW OF RESPONSIBILITY

From the April 1963 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The very valuable little book "Retrospection and Introspection," written by our revered Leader, is concluded with the following poem by A. E. Hamilton:

Ask God to give thee skill
In comfort's art:
That thou may'st consecrated be
And set apart
Unto a life of sympathy.
For heavy is the weight of ill
In every heart;
And comforters are needed much
Of Christlike touch.

This is a fitting reminder of the great responsibility that belongs to each one of us today. Each heavenly blessing enjoyed brings with it a sacred responsibility to share that blessing with others; every Christly vision filling our thought is to be translated into an expression of benefit to mankind.
