Jesus* clear understanding of and supreme love for his Father, infinite, unfailing Love, shed upon the human situation the light of the Christ, Truth, dispelling the illusive forms and shadows of evil and revealing the fact of man's eternal perfection as the child of God, spiritual, not material. This fact was made evident to suffering humanity in a way it could understand—in healing.
The Master said to his followers (John 14:12), "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do." The healing power of pure Christianity in practice was lost sight of after about three centuries, but in 1866 Jesus' devoted follower, Mrs. Eddy, discovered for this age the rules used by Jesus in healing.
