Grief took me to the valley; I saw the sons of man
Bewildered, restless, burdened, with neither hope nor plan.
Deep-shadowed lay the valley, the path beset with fears.
"Let there be light"! Creation's call reechoed in my ears.
Love led me to the mountaintop; I saw the sons of God
Unburdened, free, as fearlessly their joyous path they trod.
Man in his perfect selfhood, God's image, stood revealed.
A light illumed the valley; I knew that I was healed.
