It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude to God that I write this testimony. Christian Science means more to me than I can ever express in words.
Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. 69), "Spiritually to understand that there is but one creator, God, unfolds all creation, confirms the Scriptures, brings the sweet assurance of no parting, no pain, and of man deathless and perfect and eternal." These words were a great comfort to me when my mother passed on suddenly. I was free from a sense of grief and sorrow.
Through my study of Christian Science, I am learning that man is a spiritual idea and that as such he can never be lost or destroyed. His real life cannot be impaired or interrupted. I had a clearer realization of the word "reflection"' at my mother's passing. Since life is reflected, it cannot be either lost or gained. Man reflects God, divine Life, as His idea. I was able to realize that my mother's love for me and my love for her would never lessen or change but would always continue, just as God's love for her would always remain the same. I am grateful for the comforting and inspiring ideas that come to us when we turn to Truth for inspiration and help.
