Many blessings and healings have come to me through Christian Science in the years since a very dear friend told me of this wonderful religion and said that it would heal me. I had never known what it was to be well, and I had little or no happiness in my childhood and young girlhood days.
I should like to tell of my first healing with the hope it may be a help and encouragement to someone else. After a physical examination, I was told by a medical doctor that I was in need of surgery for intestinal adhesions, which were accompanied by frequent hemorrhages.
Arrangements were made at the hospital for me to have surgery without which, I was told, I could expect to live only a few years. Even if I had it, there would be no assurance of permanent help. I could not accept this verdict and did not go to the hospital.
