Christian Science was presented to my family when I was a small child. It was not accepted at that time, but I was greatly impressed by it and always felt kindly toward its teachings. In later years I obtained a Pocket Edition of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, but read it infrequently.
At one time there were a number of changes made in the office where I was employed. It fell to my lot to work for a man who had the reputation of being unkind and also a hard taskmaster. This opinion was so entrenched in my thinking that I found him to be just that. With each working day the relationship became more intolerable, and I had reached the point where I felt I could not continue.
