I saw no mortal feature there, no pride,
false pity, envy, fear;
only love as clear
and pure as jasper stone.
Eternal goodness blooms and plays within
our common being, free from dreams, and kin
to God alone. I saw
His omniactive law.
God's face and thine as one.
