After becoming interested in Christian Science, I could not bring myself to apply for membership in a branch church because of the fear that in a case of broken bones I should not be able to rely completely on God for the healing. It was at this time that I decided to join fraternal organization, and during one of the ceremonies an associate standing next to me jumped, and his elbow accidentally hit the bridge of my nose.
