Understanding the spiritual facts of being, or what is real, causes one to experience harmony. In the study of Christian Science, one soon learns that the most important thing in his life is to hold to the spiritual facts and to reject beliefs, which rest upon the testimony of the material senses, as powerless and unreal. He learns that the real senses, the spiritual, which tell him of God, Spirit, the real man, and the spiritual universe, are reliable, and he progressively proves the falsity of what the material senses tell him. He rises above the belief that discord is real by understanding that it is a dream of material sense.
Through spiritual sense, which enables us to be conscious of the eternal harmony of being, we dispel the dreams of material sense.
The secret of the power Christ Jesus possessed was his constant awareness of the reality of the spiritual and his ability to see the carnal mind's activity as illusion. He proved he was conscious of all-harmonious Spirit as the only Life.
