Forgetting Our Bodies

From the March 1967 issue of The Christian Science Journal

We read in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, "We should forget our bodies in remembering good and the human race." Science and Health, p. 261;

The question inevitably arises, "Should I ignore unpleasant symptoms when my body evidences signs of discomfort or malfunction?"

To forget and to ignore are not the same. To forget often implies that one's attention has become so engrossed in something else that one's thought has been temporarily freed from a problem. To forget may also connote some positive action on the part of the human mind.
