Mrs. Eddy says (Science and Health, p. 275), "Divine metaphysics, as revealed to spiritual understanding, shows clearly that all is Mind, and that Mind is God, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, —that is, all power, all presence, all Science." I should like to relate an incident in which the verity of the above statement was proven, much to the joy and gratification of the little family who experienced it.
My husband, our young daughter, and I went for a drive in the mountains one Sunday afternoon in the autumn to try out the new car we had just purchased the day before. We were very happy and grateful that we had been able to buy the car, as this was soon after the Second World War, when cars were rationed.
We left the main highway to go down a side road into a valley, where there was a mountain stream. Near the bottom of this road we found that the culvert bridge had been washed out during a heavy runoff, so we left the car, as we could go no further. The road here, though graveled, seemed moist, but we thought nothing of it.
