Smiling on Our Community

From the February 1968 issue of The Christian Science Journal

All of us have known people who are described as having a sunny smile. Their faces just "light up," we say. A sunny smile is the evidence of sunny thinking.

In our study of Christian Science we learn how to develop sunny thinking through prayerful utilization of divine Truth. Mrs. Eddy states in a message to an Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, "Hitherto, I have observed that in proportion as this church has smiled on His 'little ones,' He has blessed her."Miscellaneous Writings, p. 127; The writer was overjoyed to come across this statement, because for some time the thought of smiling on the community had been unfolding to her thought through branch church work.

There is no better way for a Church of Christ, Scientist, to smile on the community than by giving a Christian Science lecture. Presenting a lecture to the community requires the prayerful support of all the members for every aspect of the lecture.
