My testimony relates to a business property we owned in a riot-torn city and how Christian Science helped all through the experience. The property was our principal source of income. We are retired and live more than one thousand miles away from it.
About a year after the riots we were informed that all but one tenant were vacating the building. The letter accompanying this fact stated that the city had deteriorated rapidly. Criminal elements were active, stealing and destruction rampant. There were burned buildings and blocks of vacant stores. Inflammatory pamphlets were being distributed. Taxes were increased. Everyone wanted out. No one was renting or buying.
The implications of all these statements struck terror in our hearts, but after the initial shock we realized that only God could help us.
