Christian Science feeds the hunger of the human heart through presenting to the world the healing message of the Christ, God's ideal. Through the tender ministrations of the Christ, Truth, ever active in human consciousness, individuals and nations are awakening to their need of that which is spiritually good and permanent. Mankind are reaching out for something that will heal their self-inflicted wounds.
Material systems cannot provide this healing element because they all operate from the basis of the fallible human mind, which is limited and finite. But Christian Science, which presents the truth of the one infinite, all-sufficient divine Mind and man as Mind's perfect idea, meets the human need. This truth heals all ills, adjusts inharmonious relationships, improves one's concept of business, employment, and supply, binds up the brokenhearted, and cures the weak, the sinful, the discouraged.
Many of us who have applied Christian Science to the various aspects of human experience with healing results have been richly blessed. We are convinced that this Science is the pearl of great price and that if faithfully demonstrated it will heal all problems. But if we want to be obedient to one of the fundamental rules of Christianity, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself," Matt. 22:39 we must demonstrate in everincreasing measure the opportunity to share Christian Science with our fellowman. We might liken our efforts in this respect to pouring a "cup of healing oil and wine" into world thought. These words are taken from the Christian Science Hymnal. No. 259:
