We Can Rely on God

From the November 1975 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Christian Science is a way of life that develops thought spiritually and reveals the omnipotence and omnipresence of God, governing man in perfect harmony. In the opening passage of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy tells us: "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings. The wakeful shepherd beholds the first faint morning beams, ere cometh the full radiance of a risen day." Science and Health, p. vii

Since Mrs. Eddy's wonderful discovery of Christian Science people all over the world have reaped its benefits by making a consecrated effort to learn more of man's relationship to God, infinite good. Physical, mental, and moral problems are healed by steady reliance on God's healing, sustaining power.

God created man in His image and likeness, we read in the first chapter of Genesis, and man's perfection is permanently established in God. One who recognizes his true, spiritual origin as a child of God has limitless opportunities to bring good into his own life and into the lives of others.
