Seeing the unreality of evil can bring release from the material beliefs of sin, sickness, and death. Evil of any kind never existed in God's perfect creation. Nothing ever really happens but good. In reality, nothing discordant or evil ever happened to us or to anyone.
Mrs. Eddy writes: "There was never a moment in which evil was real. This great fact concerning all error brings with it another and more glorious truth, that good is supreme. As there is none beside Him, and He is all good, there can be no evil. Simply uttering this great thought is not enough! We must live it, until God becomes the All and Only of our being."No and Yes, pp. 24-25;
And how, one might ask, do we live this great fact that evil never existed and only good is present? We can begin this moment to understand it, and to prove it, to know it beyond all doubt. That is, when we are faced with trouble we can declare its unreality and hold to the truth that man is spiritual, the complete and sinless expression of his Father-Mother God. This will bring about improvement in our life and enable us to help others by seeing them as God's perfect reflection. We need to stop believing the untrue suggestions of material sense and know the truths or facts of spiritual sense and being. This brings healing.
