We Possess Good Qualities as We Live Them

If one had in the closet a gorgeous formal gown or a handsome dinner jacket used once or twice a year, he would, of course, still feel he possessed them. With Christian Science, the Science of Christ, or Truth, the case is different. This Science is possessed only while being practiced.

Speaking of divine Science, Mrs. Eddy in eight ordinary, short words gives us a mighty key: "We have it only as we live it."The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 126;

I often ask myself if I love my fellowman sufficiently to live this love in all the minutiae of daily activity, to be an example for him of the spiritual truths that, practiced, lead out of the thralldom of the false, material senses.
