This series gives firsthand accounts of how a number of successful Christian Science Sunday School teachers approach their assignments. It appears in those issues of the Journal not containing the quarterly "Sunday School" column.

"How I teach my Sunday School class"

From the February 1975 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It was an exciting challenge to be asked to teach in Sunday School. I had reached the age of leaving Sunday School myself only a short time previously and at last really knew that Christian Science was the only answer to a happy, fulfilling, and worthwhile way of life.

I loved Christian Science and loved learning to live it. As a substitute teacher, I knew I could be asked—on short notice— to teach any class. Would I be ready? If not, how could I best make myself ready?

One of the most beautiful parts of Science that I was learning was that Truth and Love are natural to all. Therefore the purer my concept of Truth and Love, I reasoned, the easier it would be for the pupils to understand Science, whatever the age of the class.
