My family background includes a long line of orthodox ministers, dating from 1700. My father, to whom I was very close, was also a minister. Although I had been raised in a high moral and religious atmosphere and had a great love and reverence for God, I could not find satisfying answers to my problems.
In my early twenties, my husband's employer introduced me to Christian Science and gave me a copy of the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I could not put it down until I had read it through. The glimpse of true spiritual law I gained from that reading opened new horizons for me, and from that time to this I have relied exclusively on Christian Science in my daily living. There have been countless blessings and healings of every description—physical and emotional.
In gratitude for Christian Science and its unfailing healing power I wish to acknowledge the work of two dedicated Christian Science practitioners who helped me when I had a serious physical condition. It took two years for the complete healing.
