The greatest thing that I have found in Christian Science is the beginning of an understanding of God as our creator. Through God's revelation to Mary Baker Eddy, and her profound love in sharing it with the world in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, we find the way to claim the loving care of our Father-Mother God.
For me, the way has been slow and difficult; but as one in all humility constantly prays and strives, the rewards are almost incredible: truth found, death annulled, health established firmly, provision assured, peace even amidst trials and tribulations; and, always, the expectancy of coming into one's native state of spirituality. I had lost all faith in religion, even in the beautiful teachings of Christ Jesus, which I had learned in childhood. The existence of God I knew as a logical truth, but, relying on the evidence of the material senses, I certainly didn't see Him in this cruel, unjust world, where even innocent children could have terrible diseases.
I shall always be doubly grateful to the friend who told me, "God never made diseases. That we know in Christian Science." Immediately my thought was to investigate that concept of God, and I did.
