IN LIGHT UNMISTED

From the April 1977 issue of The Christian Science Journal

   Pre-mist
   pre-mud
not part of Adam's dreaming wait
finitely cocooned in weave of time,
   I do not seek eternity
   through metamorphosis.
When God said, "Let us make man in our image,"
I was,
and as He is eternally I am,
I am
eternally conceived
in day too clear for dreams.
