In her poem Christ and Christmas Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 39):
As in blest Palestina's hour,
So in our age,
‘T is the same hand unfolds His power,
And writes the page.
The written page unfolding His power through Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy brought a healing of impaired vision many years ago. It had become increasingly difficult for me to read for more than a few minutes at a time, since my eyes failed to focus properly and pain accompanied every effort to read. Strong light gave considerable discomfort. I prayed earnestly to see more clearly the true nature of man — to behold with unclouded vision the good always at hand and to refuse to judge the situation according to the evidence presented by the physical senses.
