begins in Acts 6:5.
It seems to end
as stones turn red
with Stephen's blood.
His words also seemed to fall
upon the stony thought of
the paved-over minds of
the Pharisees.
But one
while consenting to the act
heard Stephen's
loving forgiveness.
(A bright light was soon
to shine in the violent
darkness of his mind.)
We never know what power
a steadfast/tender word
will have to help
to change an
antagonist Saul into an
Apostle Paul.
Stephen's story
just begins where
many would think
it ended.
