A few years ago our family made a major change in life style. My husband had been working for fifteen years in a profession that afforded us a very comfortable income, but one in which he was not happy. After praying and seeking God's guidance, he enrolled in a three-year graduate program in an entirely new field at a university in another part of the country.
The challenges were great. Our savings were not large enough to allow us to live for three years without some sort of income, and my husband would be unable to work more than part time while he attended the university full time. With our trust firmly based on God and His unerring guidance and care for each of His children, we rented our home in the West and purchased a house in an inner-city neighborhood near the university my husband was to attend.
Daily I studied the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy in order to understand God better and to feel His loving guidance in our affairs. Perhaps as never before I reached out in prayer to our Father-Mother—and I saw His law bless our lives in many ways.
