Easter impact

From the April 1980 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Darkness never has consumed a beam
of light. Death has never really blotted
out a single ray of Life. The yawning
grave, the morning star, the rainbow after
storm—all tell a tale unfathomable,
signifying more than resurrection,
more than Easter joy. Was the Christ
risen from the tomb?

Christ was never there!
Jesus realized that mighty fact,
moved the stone, and brought astonishment
to Mary's eyes. He proved the timelessness
of Spirit's Son in one stupendous act.
