How a boy found his Parent

Abandoned in infancy by his mother and given up by his father because he was unable to provide the necessary care, at three the little fellow had already had a series of tormenting foster-home experiences. No wonder he resisted when placed in still another home—this time that of a loving family. Their deep prayers and compassionate attempts to include him in the family group met with a stone wall of rejection.

Enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School at age four, the child early learned the Lord's Prayer, with its spiritual interpretation from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. It begins:

"Our Father which art in heaven,
Our Father-Mother God,
