I always thought I was prepared to tell others about Christian Science. But then, while I was explaining to an inquiring friend some of the basics, with Science and Health in hand, she said, "Some book! Got a spare?" And there I sat with my one and only copy—leather and inscribed, no less (a gift from my father), all chalked up, scribbled in, and brimming with metal markers and bits of paper bearing citations of special note.
