Comforted

From the April 1982 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Mary wept before the empty tomb.
She asked where they had laid her Master. Where?
But at his call she turned herself about,
And lo! With joy she saw him standing there.
Rabboni, Master!
Comforted.

Oh when, in doubt and darkness, I seek God,
And wind and earthquake say to me, Not here!
May I, like Mary, turn myself—and see
The light of Life and Love enfolding me
And know with joy my God, forever near!
Abba, Father!
Comforted.
