Poems

God's perception—and mine

From the January 1985 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The babbling of a nearby brook,
The shining of a distant star,
The laughter of a child at play,
The dawning of each joy-filled day.

The inner voice that bids no fear,
That tells me only good is here.
The view of man as God's pure child,
Obedient, joyful, undefiled—

How can my sight or hearing dim?
I see and hear all good, through Him.
