One time I took a friend who was not a Christian Scientist to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. There were quite a few testimonies that evening, so afterward I asked my friend what he thought of the meeting.

My friend paused for a while and said, as I recall, "I liked the testimonies, but sometimes it was hard to tell just what people meant."

"Why was that?" I asked curiously.
