Shine on

From the January 1985 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Let us rise and shine—
glow warmly, radiate—
till the mists of error
thin and dissipate.
And if fog-veiled thought
cannot at once perceive,
let's shine on and demonstrate
the truths we believe.

More light is needed
in a shrouded land
and comes from those of us
with lamp in hand
who show the truth we know
by how we live.
Freely we have received—
freely let us give!
