I am extremely grateful that my parents accepted Christian Science when I was a small child. This Science has enabled me to deal successfully with the problems that come up in daily life, and I have had many physical healings. I would like to share three healings that are especially precious because of the clear lessons they taught me.
At one point when I was in my late teens I started dating a drummer in a rock and roll band. I was quite impressed with his status and thrilled that such a person was "in love" with me. After a short while, however, a friend told me that this boy was just having a laugh at my expense, mocking me and my gullibility behind my back. When this became evident, I felt both hurt and humiliated. I didn't see how I could ever face him or my friends again.
I was miserable, and it seemed too painful to endure. I knew my parents were very concerned about me, but it seemed that nothing they said helped to ease the anguish.
