Poems

These three

From the December 1988 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is said he even raised the dead.
No! this has gone too far,
We'll have to put an end to this charade—
Lazarus; the man from Nain; a little maid—
Ridiculous! I'll not believe what I can't see . . .
But this feeling that I have within
To cleanse my self from sin
Keeps haunting the footsteps of my thought.
What if this Christ Jesus was working with my Father-Mother God,
And is right?!
Now I see!
He knew with confidence that God is All-in-all
That power is what raised the dead.
Omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence—these three
Mean life in God.
What a victory!
