Watch your statements

From the May 1988 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Christian Science calls on us, as individuals, to understand that only the eternal and spiritual is the fact. It teaches that God is the source and substance of all that is real and true, because He is infinite Mind, the creator of all intelligent ideas. It calls on the individual to recognize that by turning in prayer to God, the only Mind, he is capable of seeing beyond physical sense testimony to spiritual reality.

God, divine Principle, is the basis for all law, order, harmony, government, healing, and reformation. The individual's ability to govern himself harmoniously stems from his unchanging relationship, revealed in Christian Science, to his divine Principle. This divinely based self-government appears in what is known as good morals and good judgment, and it extends into the entire body of one's experience.

When our love for God grows to a point where we desire to please Him and express Him, it gives outward evidence in our love for others, in consideration and patience, and in increased generosity of spirit.
