"Olga Alexandrovna wasn't afraid of anything at all"

AN INTERVIEW WITH TATYANA SOKOLOVA

From the May 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Tatyana Sokolova: Olga Alexandrovna Barteneva was a member and First Reader in the Christian Science Society in St. Petersburg. The church there existed even before the Bolshevik Revolution. The services were held in English. At the end of the 1920s, this church was destroyed and all of its members were repressed. Everybody, except Olga, perished in the gulag.

CG: Did Olga see them in the camp?

TS: She was with them in the camps.
