Responses from shortwave Radio listeners in French-speaking Africa

From the May 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

About A Year Ago I started following your programs. I am a young student in international relations at Lubumbashi University .... A born Protestant, I totally approve and encourage your programs that I find more and more edifying. In fact, as far as possible, I wished that The Herald of Christian Science could also have facilities in Zaire so that the marvels of the Bible may be better broadcast in Africa.

I listen every Saturday and Sunday to your [radio] programs. Thanks to the guidance and explanations from the Bible and from Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy that you give, I manage through prayer to understand that the hatred I felt for certain members of my family is giving place to love.

I am a young...teacher....When I had to leave my parents to live 200 miles away, I thought I would break down. But one day I picked up your program on the radio, and since then a new hope has dawned for me. I have discovered through your broadcast I listen to every Sunday that God is with us and guides us. [Please send me Science and Health.]
