Broken bones healed

From the April 2000 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My wife and I have relied on Christian Science in every aspect of our daily living since 1942, experiencing numerous healings involving our children and grandchildren, and in our business as well. My last testimony was published in the 1950s, and I feel it is certainly time again to publicy express my gratitude to God for all His blessings.

Last year, a healing of broken bones profoundly strengthened my conviction that divine Science is indeed the Comforter promised in the Bible—the Christ-cure.

In the early morning hours I became aware that a very strong gale had arisen. Fearful that it could blow our lawn furniture down into the canyon, I rose and vaulted down the stairs. Missing one of the steps, I fell heavily on one leg. As I lay there for a while, I thought of Mary Baker Eddy's pronouncement that man cannot "fall from his high estate." The sentence is in Science and Health: "Never born and never dying, it were impossible for man, under the government of God in eternal Science, to fall from his high estate" (p. 258).
