wasn't looking for spiritual healing; she didn't know it was possible. But at a certain point in her life, about 11 years ago, she knew that something needed to change. "From the time I was born," she recalls, "all I talked about was sickness and disease." It wasn't until she came to True Agape Christian Center in Elberton, Georgia, that she realized she could be healed. And she was. Now she teaches weekly healing classes to other Christians who want to know how to heal.
, a practitioner and teacher of Christian Science, has a particular interest in religions that practice spiritual healing in his community. He has visited various denominations with this in mind. He has also attended Miss Downer's class. Recently he talked with Downer about her journey from patient to healer.
You used to deal constantly with all kinds of physical difficulties. What was life like for you at that time?
