AS I WAS GETTING READY to leave the house to go to church one Sunday morning about a year ago, I was having trouble opening my left eye. It was very painful. I was First Reader in my branch church and fear set in that I would be unable to conduct the service. Quickly, my thought went to a citation from Science and Health that I had included in readings for the previous Wednesday's testimony meeting, "Whatever it is your duty to do, you can do without harm to yourself" (p. 385). I quietly pondered this statement for several moments, deepening my understanding of it, and left for church—completely free. Needless to say, the service was an inspiring one! And that condition has not recurred since.
