During my daughter’s Christmas break in December 2012, my husband and I decided it would be fun to take her and our four-year-old grandson to the Los Angeles Zoo for a special outing. We enjoyed a glorious day seeing the animals.
The next day, however, I began experiencing pain in the back of one thigh and hip. The suggestion came that during the course of our long day at the zoo, I had managed to pull or strain a muscle.
But I knew that looking for a cause in matter was pointless and self-destructive. I immediately turned to God and affirmed that the all-acting, divine Father-Mother governed me; therefore, my action, my movement—as the reflection of perfect Life, God—must be effortless, harmonious, balanced, and painless.
