Mark 5:28

Seeking hope where none had been
   she felt an expectant turning
from all that had failed to heal.
And so she pushed
   through pressing crowd
determined to reach where he stood.
Her initial outreach to the Christ
   touched just the fringes
      of his garment.
Yet, she was healed,
   her faith proved strong,
and Jesus sent her on her way to go in peace.
Was she emboldened
not to just touch but his clothes,
but to fully embrace the Christ?
Did her restoration shine
   for all to see
offering hope to others where none had been?
Could they, too, feel an expectant turning,
   their tentative outreach
      a Christly yearning?
And so we see the gospel spread
   though centuries pass
each one when healed may go in peace.
Each healing shines for all to see
   the power of
      a Christly touch.
