God’s healing love turns mistakes into blessings

From the December 2020 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Can Christian Science bring healing to mistakes that we or others make? Even big mistakes? Yes! In fact, this Science of the Christ enables us to see and to demonstrate that God’s healing love actually can turn mistakes into unforeseen blessings.

How can this be? One of the hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal contains a wonderful promise. Speaking of God, it says: “Thy providence turns all to good” (Samuel Longfellow, No. 134).

So omnipotent is God’s power, so all-encompassing is His omnipresent love for all His spiritual creation, that even mistakes, even failures, end up working together for good as we open our thoughts and lives to God’s correcting and redeeming love. The Bible puts it this way: “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
