To open Annual Meeting, Scott Preller, Chair of the Christian Science Board of Directors, welcomed the worldwide Church family attending via the internet.
Scott Preller: We’re so glad you’re joining us for Annual Meeting with its theme, “Our duty to God, to our Leader, and to mankind.” Obviously, this is turning out to be a different Annual Meeting than the one we’d been planning. Because of the pandemic the world is working its way through, and the current government restrictions on gatherings, we’re meeting online this year. The task before us is to prove that even though we can’t be together in person, we can still come together in spirit and in a united love for the Cause of Christian Science.
