Christian Science was introduced to my mother when she was expecting twins. As a child, my mother had contracted a disease that weakened her heart, and it was believed that carrying twins would be too much for her. Through Christian Science she was healed of this condition, and she carried the twins without a problem. I am one of them!
One of the things I learned through being raised in a Christian Science home was never to fear. I came to understand that “perfect love casteth out fear” (I John 4:18), as the Bible tells us. This was a help to me in a recent challenge.
For no apparent reason, one of my legs had become very weak, and it was difficult to walk. I was also experiencing pain in my hips. It occurred to me that this was a belief associated with aging.
