Annual Meeting opened with a video featuring short clips about the inventive ways branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, around the world carried on their mission during the past year despite restrictions on most gatherings. One branch hosted a Christian Science lecture in their church parking lot. Another held a children’s reading hour in their Reading Room once a week. Still another planted over three hundred flower bulbs, which inspired interest and conversations with their neighbors. Many streamed their church services and testimony meetings online. As one speaker remarked, “This proves that even a pandemic cannot prevent the activity of Love” (see christianscience.com/2021opening).
