Jesus expected his followers to heal. He promised, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also” (John 14:12).
What do we need to learn to practice Jesus’ method of healing, to grow in our understanding and demonstration of it? Where do we begin?
Christian Science answers these questions, revealing that there were spiritual laws undergirding Jesus’ healing work. He made it clear that healing was not accomplished independent of God, saying, “The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. . . . I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me” (John 5:19, 30).
