The Bible ASSURES us that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). Effectual prayer is summed up by Christ Jesus when he said that knowing the truth would make us free (see John 8:32).
Jesus never said, “Hope in the truth,” “Wish for the truth,” or “Think about the truth.” He said, “Know the truth.” Knowing means being fully conscious of something; having a thing established or fixed in the mind or memory. Spiritual demonstration of the truth Jesus was talking about—which we call healing or regeneration—entails an absolute realization or understanding of spiritual reality.
If I think back on the healings I have had, I realize that they were manifested when there was nothing else in my thought except divine Truth—unfolding the allness of God and the spiritual nature of His idea or reflection, man. A consciousness of harmony resulted in harmony being made evident. Harmony appeared, or was manifested, right where a discordant condition had seemed to be previously.
