We’ve all probably seen greeters when we walk into a store. Sometimes they offer to tell us about the products inside. Sometimes they just say a quiet hello if we’re making a beeline for a particular shelf. However you’d like to approach this magazine (flipping to where you want to be, or lingering with us here first), we welcome you and are grateful for you.
This collection of pieces helps us see that God is responsible for His creation. That’s a big concept—one that’s prevalent throughout the Bible. We know what it means to be a responsible member of society. And yet we sometimes forget that God, divine Life itself, truly is our Parent and Friend, cherishing and nurturing us. It’s reassuring to know that God can be trusted to care for His creation lovingly and completely.
Throughout this issue, we learn that spiritual-mindedness is crucial to discerning reality, and that, as the founder of this magazine, Mary Baker Eddy, once wrote, “Sincerity is more successful than genius or talent” (Message to The Mother Church for 1900, p. 9).
