HOW grateful we can be that Christian Science reveals to each one of us peace, joy, and freedom from fear! Freedom from fear—what a cause for rejoicing! This freedom means freedom from anxious concern, freedom from dreaded diseases, and freedom from so-called destructive forces. But even more than that, it includes freedom from what the Bible terms "sudden fear.

RIGHT convictions are born of spiritual understanding. One may learn how to persevere in following right convictions in Christian Science.

HOW sorely mankind needs divine help! Sooner or later each one must recognize that divine power alone can save him from sickness, sin, lack, and the other discords of mortal existence. To most people, evil appears to be very active, and one faced with the suggestion of evil may not know what to do about it.

ALCHEMY, a medieval chemical science, had as its great objects the transmutation of base metals into gold and the discovery of a universal remedy for diseases and the means of indefinitely prolonging life. The attempts to attain these objectives ended in failure.

INDIVIDUALS occasionally perceive through spiritual sense the universe of Spirit. In this moment they become aware of an endless perfection of movement, of ideas circling divinity in a vast expression of harmony, of an irradiance of light which knows no darkness.

THE Gospel of Matthew tells us that Jesus took Peter, James, and John up "into an high mountain apart" ( 17:1 ) and was there transfigured before them. It goes on to say that after they saw Jesus talking to Moses and Elias, Peter proposed making three tabernacles, one for his Master, one for Moses, and one for Elias.

IN the latter half of the nineteenth century there occurred a disclosure of universal reality which has no parallel in human history. This was the revelation of the Science of the infinite to Mary Baker Eddy, a devout follower of the teachings of Christ Jesus.

Christianly scientific healing is the result of an affirmed and acknowledged understanding that the real man is the perfect image and likeness of God. Christian Science healing asserts nowness, positiveness, completeness.

The human yearning for good causes mortals to seek something higher than the materiality which seems to surround them. Then with sincerity the human individual often turns to God in prayerful petition for a light to guide his footsteps.

The words of Christ Jesus ( John 14: 12 ), "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also," imply that the power of God conferred on man is without limit. One needs only to comply with the conditions determining this power in order to demonstrate it.
